In leading software design system initiatives over the years, I’ve worked with many designers and Ana certainly stands out. Ana helped build our new design system, which is now referenced across the organization. She worked side by side with developers and stakeholders to stand it up at impressive speed, delivering detailed documentation along the way. She’s not only a strong designer, but also a thoughtful leader and collaborator who understands atomic design principles and semantic abstractions through an engineering lens. That rare ability has repeatedly saved time and improved the quality of our systems. Finally, Ana is simply a joy to work with. Always cheerful, positive, and never backing down from a challenge. If the stars ever aligned for us to work together again, I’d jump at the opportunity — and would encourage others to do the same.
